Athens is Burning

Why do you look so sad
Did you lose something you thought you had
One day a sudden thunder came
Took away everything you lacked
How could you not see it coming
When all the signs were pointing to it
Oh what a foolish heart
Look at how it's choking
This is the end of the world as we all know it
Why do you look so cold
Left you out here to grow old
One day you'll find that all you lost
Was never really worth it
How could you not see it coming
When all the signs were pointing to it
Oh what a foolish heart
Look at how it's choking
This is the end of the world as we all know it

Generation of traits
Sleep comes easy
Generation of traits
In adopted states
Generation of traits
Against hidden time
Generation of traits
Buried in these lies!
Lift your eyelids sleepy one
Realise that everyone is free
What's the use of this pain
Just to seek extreme pleasure
Can't you see the pattern
We have been here many times before
We should have learnt our lesson
It doesn't it work anymore
There are rocks in the skies
Call them building blocks
Use a new light
Breathe a new dawn
With a sound you ignite
With a sound you are born
Generation alive
Clap your hands to the same gong
Realise that we are all one love

Chalk Cliffs

Stepping off chalk cliffs
The wind keeps us still
Afloat and hidden in sounds
Our hearts hint
The sea is exploding
Revealing the fire in the ground
Isn't it so sweet
All the things that we keep
Secured to safety
In a briefcase of dreams
These days may not come again
The speed may take us in
So I am holding on to you

Metropolis Bin

I'd like to see a movie what wasn't about love
Or maybe hear a song without lust being over done
Among power and glory I need something to feel
There are so many stories but none of them are real
Won't someone take me back to when things were black & white
Cause all those colours on that screen have got us hypnotised
And love don't seem to be real unless it's dramatised
And your image is a deal
like the tunnel that comes after the light
I hope that someone would tell me that I am safe
That jars of happiness are stored in some place
That this pool of sick that we are all in
Ain't some sort of disposable metropolis bin
The world has so many mirrors
And the folks that hold them up
Somehow seem to escape my vision
So many images but none of them are real
I hope that I will meet someone who has the courage to say
Put down that mask you are wearing
Lift the veils and start appearing
Let darker days be on their way and brighter moons be your fate
I hope that someone would tell me that I am safe
That jars of happiness are stored in some place
That this pool of sick that we are all in
Ain't some sort of disposable metropolis bin
